We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Lake DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team as we revolutionize data management through cutting-edge technologies and practices. You will be working in the Datalake data management space where you will monitor, enhance, automate and support our Datalake services, based on AWS and Snowflake as the key platforms.

As a Topdanmark Datalake IT specialist, you will be working in the Datalake data management space. You will be working in a team to design, develop, enhance, automate and support our Datalake services, based on AWS and Snowflake as the key platforms.
You will have the following responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, enhance and support Datalake solutions using AWS and Snowflake
  • Participate in all phases from requirements/scoping through deployment.
o Coordination of dependencies
o Workshop plan and execution
o Capture and understand business requirements and domain
o Design and create deliverables
o Automation of recurring tasks and/or tests
o Configuration and development
o Implementation and testing
  • Build expertise in key technical, functional, and professional skills.
  • Participating in planning and coordinating own/team's activities to meet deliverable commitments and quality expectations.
  • Implement better and/or innovative ways to meet goals or overcome obstacles
  • Work collaboratively with other team members (Topdanmark on-site/offshore, Data Warehouse etc.) from different disciplines and backgrounds.
  • Review the design and code of team members and peers.
  • Clearly communicate, work with onsite/offshore teams and architect as required to deliver effectively.
Work with other internal IT teams (including users, onshore and offshore).


Technical Requirements (Must Have):
  • Minimum 3 years of Software Development Background in one of the following: Python, Java or JavaScript
  • Advanced SQL Proficiency
  • DevOps and CI/CD Experience
Technical Requirements (Good to Have):
  • Snowflake Knowledge
  • Experience with ETL
  • Experience with Alation, Terraform, Jenkins, AirFlow, Power BI
  • Familiarity with Agile Processes
  • Awareness of Fivetran and DBT
  • Datalake and Platform Experience
  • Automation Skills
  • Business Intelligence and Reporting Experience
  • AWS Cloud Experience or other cloud experiences
Soft Skills Requirements:
  • A team player and have experience in working in international teams (incl. cultural awareness, virtual/remote working).
  • A self-starter with minimal supervision required. Someone who can work individually within a team environment.
  • Good written and spoken English skills and speaks up! You should be comfortable in low hierarchy organization.
  • Easy going – and comfortable with direct communication among peers.
  • To be proactive within the organization and want to do more and experience new projects or tasks.
  • Strong communication skills are required to communicate with team members, stakeholders, and end users.
  • Ready to question, has a natural habit of sharing knowledge.

BSc or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical field.


Travel for this position is rare but may occasionally be required based on specific project needs.
