Responsibilities

Do you enjoy working with data integration and contributing to insights? A Bank has plenty of data that only makes sense when seen in context - and this is accomplished by collecting and cataloging data. Ever-increasing amounts of data and sources in parallel with increased demands from regulatory authorities and our own need for updated insights are forcing the use of new technology.

Sbanken has started the journey on building their new Cloud-first data platform. That means that they are moving from a traditional MS SQL based data warehouse "indoors" solution to a cloud-based platform based on Azure components, using DBT and Snowflake as a database engine. At the same time, they have an increasing need for data exchange with other cloud-based solutions, in addition to the fact that their established data sources must be part of the journey.
Sbanken now have a great need to strengthen their team with more Data Engineers focusing on building and maintaining this new Cloud-first data platform. Those we look for typically have a few years of experience in software development and a good understanding of APIs and databases.
In Sbanken, you will be part of autonomous interdisciplinary teams with Data Warehouse developers, Data Scientists and Analysts.
Join the team if love to:
• Build integration pipelines in Azure Data Factory
• Profile data and choose basic integration implementation
• Model and structure data (Data Vault 2.0)
• Build and document transformations in DBT (Data Build Tool)
• Take part in the operation of the daily integration in production
• Maintain security mechanisms at the database level
• Configure and maintain integration components on azure infrastructure

Qualifications

Must have:
• +5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
• SQL and Data Modelling
• Azure Data Factory
• Bitbucket/Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Basic knowledge of azure Cloud Infrastructure (Key Vault, AD, Functions)
• Basic knowledge of Python / Jinja

Good to have:
• Data vault 2.0 modelling experience
• Worked with DBT (data build tool)
• Snowflake Data Cloud Platform or similar database platform.
• JavaScript

Education

• Minimum of BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant years of experience in the required skills.
