Responsibilities

• Continuous improvement both as part of a team and individually, looking to lead initiative to enhance test practices and drive quality
• Be passionate about quality and take ownership for the quality of our product in all aspects
• Be adaptable in various testing methodologies & practices, and tools that complement the software quality process
• Working in an agile environment and adaptable to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment
• Leadership of the functional test team working in sprint
• Support the ongoing appraisal and development of team members
• Work around dynamic sprint teams to establish an understanding of deliverables, drive quality requirements and ensure that these are met
• Support the design and implementation of test processes and procedures to ensure continual improvements to agile delivery methodology
• Review, feedback and manage the quality deliverables of the functional test team
• Assist in continually enhancing and scaling the test strategy
• Provide leadership and mentoring to other team members
• Strong assessment and effort estimation skills with respect to team deliverables and particularly QA aspects
• Work closely alongside product managers, developers, etc. to ensure the quality of all requirements are suitably met whilst delivered on-time and to-specification
• Maintenance and continuous enhancement of automated test collateral in an ever-evolving product environment

Qualifications

Technical Requirements:
• Experience working with Development and QA environments
• Hands on automation experience and strong conceptual knowledge of automation frameworks
• Experience managing QA teams
• Design of key testing artefacts such as test plans, schedules, entry and exit reports
• Strong background leading testing within an agile environment, supporting in-sprint testing
• Ability to manage own workload and support management of team workloads
• Experience appraising and developing team members
• Passion and drive for test automation and associated toolsets
• Experience with hiring and recruitment processes

Good-to have:

• • Experience designing API testing using tools such as SOAP UI and Postman
• First-hand experience working with a Specflow test framework in C#
• Able to interpret and work with XML/JSON
• Experience in working with teams using TDD / BDD methodology
• Strong Stakeholder management skills
• Experience in interview and recruitment
• Experience working with Kanban/SCRUM Agile methodologies
• Experience working with virtual machines and associated configuration
• Software Testing certification e.g. ISTQB or equivalent

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Your key skill will be the management of QA professionals in supporting their professional development and day to day activities
• An ambitious team player who strives for technical excellence and continuous improvement amongst dynamic sprint teams

Education

• BS/BA degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline OR Relevant years of experience in required skills
