The overall purpose of IT in Topdanmark is to create value through better customer experience, better products, more efficient processes and sale. An IT developer in The Digital infrastructure team contributes by developing and maintaining a platform for register, distributing, archiving and journalising all contacts with the customers. The current platform is based on Java and the team is right now developing a new platform also based on Java. The IT developer will be working in a cross functional, agile team, with colleagues located in Denmark and Kuala Lumpur.
The IT developer will be working with developing and maintaining the current platform as well as developing the new platform which we are building from scratch. So you will have a great opportunity to put your own thoughts and ideas into this new solution.
Initially the team will focus on collaboration and knowledge acquisition and team -getting the off shore set up to work more and more efficiently to the benefit of Topdanmark and the team itself. In regard to deliverables, we expect to have a new platform (communication register) that is running – hopefully with flying colours.
The team is expected to gain knowledge as well as deliver well-crafted software from the backlog.
It is expected that the team will be able to independently deliver items on the backlog..
Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle, i.e from requirements gathering, through specification and coding to testing and support.
Understand and question the actual business requirement and existing system in order to develop the smartest solution
Design, build, test and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code
Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and provide solutions to these problems
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
The right candidate must possess an appropriate education and have more than 3- 5 years of Software Development experience (Java & J2EE)
Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms
Experience with REST/JSON
Good understanding integration patterns
Knowledge of and experience with "the financial IT environment"
Must possess agile mindset and knowledge of agile processes (Scrum)
Must possess strong communication skills
Good to have following Skills:
The right candidate must possess an appropriate education and have more than 3 years of Software Development experience
You may also be required to travel to Denmark from time to time depending on your project requirement.
